Our Story.

 

   Welcome to “The Grand Old Lady.” Crown Point’s historic courthouse was built in 1878. It was placed on the National Historic Places list in 1973. Since 1976, the courthouse has gone through a complete refurbishing. Valentino’s Cafe is named after silent film star, Rudolph Valentino. In March 1923, Valentino was married in the courthouse. His marriage license hangs on the wall next to the register. 
   Valentino’s takes pride in serving fresh high quality foods. Our soups and salads are homemade and our burgers are fresh, never frozen, handmade daily. Our top quality meats are, hand-sliced, fresh. We use artisan breads and 100% soy bean oil for frying. We serve Sherman’s finest premium ice cream. Valentino’s uses sustainable, recyclable, compostable and biodegradable products made from plants. So relax, we’re not a fast food restaurant. Enjoy your meal, have some ice cream and take in the atmosphere.
